Steve Fagan is the editor of the Monitor a daily newspaper published in the Rio Grande Valley. It is the flagship newspaper in the region and is the newspaper of record for the City of McAllen. Fagan studied journalism at Indiana University and has over 30 years experience covering the news and investigative reporting. He has worked as an investigative reporter in Louisville and Mississippi before taking his position as editor at The Monitor.

Juan Montoya is a seasoned journalist with an educational background from the University of Michigan and University of Wisconsin. He has reported for major daily newspapers in Brownsville at the Brownsville Herald, Saginaw News of Michigan and San Antonio.
